Anyway, I finally realised that my house was a jungle, full of electronic gadgets I don't need and never used. So, I decided to make some money instead of just throwing out those stuff.

I went to Cash Converter in Valley to 'pawn'
1 - my old Acer Travelmate laptop
2 - A very old external webcam I only used once for web-chatting
3 - Portable Targus Speaker (It came together with my laptop bag. I used it once.)
4 - A very ugly watch I bought at Ekka (Everything looked good and super cheap at Ekka, okay?)

This was not the first time I've been to Cash Converter, but this is my first time selling my stuff there. So I first pulled out my laptop, and the guy at CC asked me what price was I looking at. So I was like, "I don't know. A hundred dollars, probably."

He checked the spec and said that it was running on the old processor and $100 might've been too much. Well I thought so. Unfortunately, due to my constant flipping of the lappie's screen, the LCD mounting came off. And even more unfortunate that the fault cannot be fixed anymore. After consulting his tech expert, he said that the max he could give me was $5 or $10 store credit.

It was hard for me to let go, but seriously, I didn't need any of the stuff anymore. My argument to keep the laapie was as the back up in case my current Vostro screwed up. But to think about it, I might as well buy a new laptop. I mean, surely I wouldn't be using such uncool broken laptop again. (That uncool broken laptop was my slave for two years and a half, okay?)

Anyway, sold my laptop for $5, the watch for $5, the webcam $5 and the speaker $5. It was hard to let go of the speaker as well since it was a brand name and it was in perfect condition. As for the watch, I wasted $20 on removing the tabs just to sell it for $5. Talk about a waste.

Anyway, in all I got $20. Damn, I didn't even get enough to buy The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown.

More elctronic stuff I don't use and in perfect (as new. barely used) condition:
- An AWA iPod dock. The light for the clock was too dim. I need a bright one to replace my alarm clock and my bedside table is too small to hold two items.
- Laptop cooler. I use my latop on my bed, so it's very tricky to place the cooler underneath the laptop.

Takashima Kazusa vs Kayono

Warning: If you're not a manga fan or don't give shit about art, skip this post. It's going to bore you liek shit.

Takashima Kazusa is one of my favourite mangakas (leaving the genre she's drawing aside). Kayano is... uhh... well, I read one of her manga, and I thought it was prety good. One, Kayano is stealing/copying/plagarising TK's work. Okay, that's not really news. It happens all the time in this industry. Two, Kayano used her mommy's power (she's a somebody in the industry) and won the case. Three, the rightful owner was forced to take a two year leave.

So, what i really want to say is:
1 - I can't understand why Ide Chikae (the mother) was supporting Kayono's act. I mean, she herself is a mangaka. She should know how serious the matter is.
2 - For Kayono, what's the use of winning the case? The whole world knew she was wrong. Even fans who loved her are angry with her; using the mother to destroy other's career.
3 - TK's temporarily banned. Who's gonna continue her gorgeous artwork? Grr-ness to the immature girl who couldn't even be responsible for her own acts.
4 - The mother said that Kayono wouldn't be able to copy TK since Kayono didn't read BL. She's drawing smut, but not reading BL? Heh. Such a funny story.
5 - I'd love to curse Kayono.

Conclusion:
Ban Kayono's stuff. An art thief liek her shouldn't be allowed in the industry.

*It feels a bit like banning the american brands some people are doing. No, I'm not involved in that.

i've been watching videos on youtube these few days (when really, i have to be studying) and i found lotsa comments like, "i dedicate this song to such-and-such".

Once i read a comment that says, "how can you dedicate such-and-such this song? It's not even your song!"

Personally, i agree with the opinion that you don't have the right to dedicate song unless you
1 - are the singer of the song
2 - are the composer of the song
3 - are the lyricist of the song
4 - are the publisher of the song
5 - play/sing the song yourself, and you dedicate the crappy version to whoever you want to dedicate it to.

but to think about it, such-and-such and I have our own theme song that is not even ours. Talk about creepy...

A couple of years ago, a friend told me that... she drew what she liked because she wanted it to be 'her arts'. She didn't care of others' opinion on her stuff. she didn't want to be liked because she's drawing 'in' things, but because it's 'her stuff'. Unlike our other friend. Frankly, i find her stuff... umm... freaky.

A couple of days ago, the friend we were talking about told me she wanted to be liked for her style, for whatever she's drawing.

So what? Nothing, really. I just find it interesting how two girls wanted the same thing, yet drawing completely different things. And yet thinks the other was not the same as hers.

As for me, I just hope i'll get a perfect photo of Tibby.

And probably make some money with some kad raya design.

a temporary workstation for last night as i was working on an amv of some OC. Anyway, the lighting in the Den is pretty romantic that i have a hard time to study. I think it's the brightest in the kitchen. (The amv will be posted once it's done. Expect a delay of like, two years?)

I love these chairs. There are two in the house, but i use one as the seat for my keyboard. You can use this chair for almost everything. Hang towels, hang Jeans, climb up to reach the top wardrobe, seat whilst cooking, 'table' for laptop, 'table' for drinks... anyway. (I don't sleep in this chair. I have kerusi-malas-IKEA for that.)

this thing was given by Erwina. I don't actually like it, but i never have a heart to throw it away. Mana pernah aku buang furry objects. Anyway, now i hang it on the rod to open/close the blind for the sliding door.

++A Glass Half Full++
Yep, this is the water container i use inside the bathroom. Hana + Faraiza was like, "it's made of glass!" Uh, biar jer la kot. I mean, it's not like i have kids in the Den. I hope i won't be dumb enough to hurt myself using this jar.

living alone is somewhat lonely; but it's less lonely comparing to living in a house of four, but never talked to the other three. lastly, thanks for visiting Sophie's Den. *bows*
